I am pleased to report that I will be teaching a new online creative writing course under the auspices of publisher Random House Struik and in partnership with specialist Internet-based teaching company Get Smarter. I’m thrilled to report that client and UCT Creative Writing MA grad Dr. Rosie Kendal has been shortlisted for the Mnet Award in the “Film” catagory for her novel the Karma Suture about the life and loves of a stressed out single doctor doing the rounds at a huge Cape Town hospital. Can anyone say “Grey’s Anatomy Goes To Cape Town”? I can! And I’ll be there on awards night 13 June to see Rosie collect the prize….way to go, Doc.

It’s a fabulous book and soon to be followed by her seminal work on Moses Tladi, which will be released into book stores later this year (watch this space).
