Random House Struik Lends Its Name to New Online Creative Writing Course

Karma Suture Feels the Love from MNET Awards Shortlist

thumbnailI’m  thrilled to report that client and  UCT Creative Writing MA  grad Dr. Rosie Kendal has been shortlisted for the Mnet Award in the “Film” catagory for her novel the Karma Suture about the life and loves of a stressed out single doctor doing the rounds at a huge Cape Town hospital.  Can anyone say “Grey’s Anatomy Goes To Cape Town”? I can! And I’ll be there on awards night 13 June to see Rosie collect the prize….way to go, Doc.

 

Gatekeepers Retreat: Going to the Farm

I’m already looking forward to the Gatekeepers  retreat in Noordhoek, Cape Town at the Ekogaia Farm where I will be speaking alongside SA Young Publisher of the Year Arthur Attwell and writer Collette Ashton about writing and the publishing world.   29-31 May. Why not book yourself into what looks to be a mystical and fabulous  retreat beside the ocean?  It promises to be illuminating and entertaining and what could be better than brooding Noordhoek in May? Angela Read Lloyd Re-Releases Bridging the Divide

It was my great pleasure to help cleint Angela Read Lloyd  republish her book about an Anglo-Boer family, entitled Bridging the Divide, with EBW Mousehand.  It’s a fabulous book and soon to be followed by her seminal work on Moses Tladi, which will be released into book stores later this year (watch this space).
