The Star Gives Whiplash a Jazzy Carrot

September 4th, 2008 by Ron

Arja Salafranca says Tracey Farren’s Whiplash is “ground-breaking” and “an assured book and marks the debut of a startling new voice on the South African literary scene” in today’s Star (Tonight section). Oh, and did I mention that she also says Whiplash is a “roller-roller coaster of a journey and as readers we are led through by Farren’s confident, jazzy prose”? It is now getting difficult to keep track of all the great reviews Whiplash has earned, but each one is just as gratifying as the last. If you want to know more about Tracey and her book, why not check out her profile and interview at Reader’s Forum? Well done, Tracey! Well done, Colleen! Well done, Queen Modjaji!

Congratulations, all. Delighted to see Queen Modjaji making waves (and ruling them too!)

There is an interview in the Namibian today of the author, I thought that was quite cool....
