I am still in recovery mode from last night massive Whiplash launch at the Gas Light Cafe in Muizenberg. It was the biggest launch I have ever been to in cape Town—easily 150 people—and the only one where ALL the food and ALL the wine was consumed. Plus, it looked like ALL of the books Colleen Higgs brought along were bought–over 80 of them, I think. And we had belly dancers! Very nice! Thanks to all for inviting me to be the MC. Colleen was careful to thank all of he many people who made Whiplash happen, especially Maire Fisher, who took the photos for the evening. Great launch, great book. Now I need a great pile of aspirin…
